Welcome! Nordica Dairy was founded in 1949 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, by two enterprising brothers who wanted to pay homage to the fresh, Scandinavian-style cottage cheese of their heritage.
Early on, the young brothers developed a revolutionary natural process for making consistent, high-quality cheese known as the Nordica System. In 1954, they were invited to England to teach the British dairy industry how to produce better cottage cheese. In a short time, the Nordica System spread throughout the U.S. and on to Canada and Australia. And the rest is history.
Today, Nordica maintains the original brothers’ principles of producing the most consistent, highest-quality cottage cheese, using only the freshest milk and our natural method of processing.
